What is a Juice Cleanse?

A Juice Cleanse is a fasting method and a detox diet in which a person consumes only fruit and vegetable juices to obtain nutrition while otherwise abstaining from food consumption. Juice Cleanses may last anywhere from a single day to several weeks. I have done quite a few of these Organic Juice Cleanses and a local company near me named My Organic Juice makes my personal favorite. Their cleanse consists of the following 6 different juices:

  1. Master Cleanse
  2. Greens
  3. Wheatgrass High
  4. Gone to Heaven
  5. Go Green
  6. Almond Joy

These organic juices were carefully selected for specific properties they each have to properly cleanse your body of GMO’s and processed food toxins. Lets take a look at each of them and see what they are made up of and what they do for you.

Master Cleanse

Master Cleanse is made up of Organic Lemon, Organic Cayenne Pepper, Alkaline Filtered Water, and Organic Green Apple. This juice was chosen to have first thing in the morning due to its alkalizing detoxifying effect. They use Organic Green Apples to sweeten the drink instead of agave or maple syrup because it packs some much needed nutrition into the juice to properly nourish you for the day ahead.

Greens

Greens is My Organic Juice’s staple green drink and it is made up of Organic Kale, Organic Spinach, Organic Cucumber, Organic Green Apple, and Organic Pineapple. This juice has your nutrient dense greens and cleansing fruits all packed into it!

Wheatgrass High

Wheatgrass High might be my favorite drink in the group because it gives you a huge boost of energy! It consists of Organic Wheatgrass, Organic Dandelion, Organic Apple, Organic Cucumber, and Organic Lime. Dandelion is known to detoxify the liver while providing the body with essential vitamins and minerals. Wheatgrass will oxygenate your bloodstream and provide you with super enzymes, chlorophyll and protein! Talk about a great juice for mid-day!

Gone to Heaven

Gone to Heaven has some super foods in it!! It is made up of Organic Fennel, Organic Cucumber, Organic Mint, Organic Green Apple, Organic Parsley, and Organic Pear. Organic Fennel contains the natural plant chemicals anethole and fenchone, and acts as a mild diuretic. It is also an extremely good digestive aid. Women love it because it has a balancing effect on female hormones. Both apples and pears are rich in soluble fiber and pectin, which improves digestion and bowel function. Apples are a uniquely rich source of ellagic acid, another cleansing phytochemical. This is your pick me up!!

Go Green

Go Green comes through later in the day to really clean up shop for dinner. It is made up of Organic Kale, Organic Dandelion, Organic Cucumber, Organic Cilantro, and Organic Green Apple. This is the perfect juice for dinner time as it is filling and packed with powerful greens to fuel you.

Almond Joy

Almond Joy is the perfect ending to the day as it is sweet and gives you the feeling that you just had dessert!! It contains Truly Raw Almonds, Truly Raw Honey, Truly Raw Bee Pollen, Organic Raw Coconut Flakes, and Ceylon Cinnamon. You have this last juice of the day about 2-3 hours before bed and it is the PERFECT way to end a day on an Organic Juice Cleanse.

This is just one example of a day on an Organic Juice Cleanse. Companies like My Organic Juice offer Juice Cleanses anywhere from 1 to 10 days or more. These cleanses are the perfect way to revitalize you and drop that water weight you are holding on to and heal your body from the inside out. I personally suggest that if you are going to do a juice cleanse that you find a good local Organic Juice company like My Organic Juice that offers fresh cold pressed organic juices and start out doing a 1 Day Cleanse. Most people can handle a one day cleanse and it is a great way to get introduced to the world of cleansing and healing your body from the inside out.

Until Tomorrow

Joe
